Please Pray
Last night one of my good friends and roomate from college, Melanie Rothwell Byrd, got the call. What call...she has CF (Cystic Fibrosis) and got the call that the PERFECT set of lungs has arrived and was ready for her. She entered surgery at 11:30ish last night for a lung transplant and ended around 6:00am this morning. The surgery went BEAUTIFULLY!! Please pray for her recovery.

OMG! She will definitely be in my prayers. Ginger and her week old baby and family evacuated yesterday. Are you guys still at home?

We've been reading her website and I was so excited to hear her wonderful news. We'll continue to pray for her recovery and her new set of lungs!

Oh wow, I am so happy to hear that she had the transplant! Wow, what an awful weekend to be in the hospital (hurricane). I pray that everything turns out ok!! I am glad you and Mason got outta there!! Hope Marcus doesn't get stuck in too much traffic!

My mom called me last night to tell me about Mel. I am glad to hear that the transplant went smoothly. Please keep us updated!! What hospital is she in? Thanks for letting us know and asking for prayers. It is always easier facing something knowing that God is on your side.
I thought of her a lot during my race. The charity was for CF and she was on my mind. I am so glad she is recovering well. Will you send me the site to her blog?
