What call...she has CF (Cystic Fibrosis) and got the call that the PERFECT set of lungs has arrived and was ready for her. She entered surgery at 11:30ish last night for a lung transplant and ended around 6:00am this morning. The surgery went BEAUTIFULLY!! Please pray for her recovery.

Mason's First Day of School

With a good nights rest and read for the big day...Mason was off to his first day of school! He had been to summer day camps that is sorta like MDO before so this wasn't our first rodeo :) We had already met his teachers and found his classrooms and met some of his friends (6 boys 2 girls) in his class. Mason is however the OLDEST!! In Katy all MDO programs go with the school district and don't start MDO programs until 15 months old so that puts Mason at the HEAD OF THE CLASS :) As we drove up to school Mason was saying, "NO SCHOOL, NO SCHOOL"...I was nervous to what that day was going to bring. I dropped him off and he cried so I sat for a sec while we played a puzzle together then one of his teachers distracted him and I made my exit. I took a peek in the window as I was leaving and he was perfectly content. A few things I was nervous about was him not eating or sleeping while he was there. I was anxious to pick him up to see how his day went. They give a written report at the end of each day with all they did. When I walked in he was playing and having a GREAT TIME! He ate semi good, he took a great nap and had a blast. We got to take a Birthday Snack since his birthday was the day before school started. He loved that HE took the Happy Birthday Snack...he could not stop talking about the Happy Birthday Snack when he got home. The teachers were commenting on how well he was talking and what a funny lil guy he was. I was happy to see that he showed his personality to them! Later that night I heard Mason say "March March March" and I looked over and he was marching lifting his leg! I NEVER march around the house! I asked the next day at MDO and they learned how to March in Music class...too cute! All in all he has had 1 1/2 successful days so far at school. The other 1/2 day we were evacuating to Austin and now this week school is CLOSED :( due to IKE! Next week, I look forward to seeing what else Mason learns from school.

Happy Birthday, My Love!

This past weekend we celebrated Mason's 2nd birthday! We celebrated with 5 of Mason's friends that all have birthdays around the same time :) We had his party at Pump It UP Jr. and the kids as well as the adults had a blast!!! Happy birthday lil guy!

~Mommies and their birthday boys/girls~
The yummy cakes made by Audrey
The party favors
Their personalized balloons
Watching the PIU video before entering...yes MOST of them sat still and watched the video :)

It's my Happy Birthday party, Mason kept saying!!!

The loot :)
All lined up singing the Happy Birthday Song

Make a wish...
The fun tractor I got from Nanny, Papa, Kylie, Jenny and Paul...He LOVES riding this thing especially in 2nd gear!!

My fun Horsey I love riding too from DD and Daddio!
It makes real horse noises and plays songs...SO FUN!

MY BIRTHDAY DAY!!!! We took Mason to Chuck E Cheese to eat dinner and played on almost ALL the toys and games...we wore him out :) We had a blast. I was so sad that his train table was not finished being put together for his birthday but we have it now and he loves it.

***Thanks to everyone who came and spent Mason's special day with him. Thanks for all the fun toys...I think we have Toys R Us in our game room :) It was especially fun this year because Mason could say happy birthday to his friends and he knew what it meant. He knew it was HIS DAY!!!***

~Names~

Well...I am the one holding up the NAME deciding. Is it bad that I don't want a nick name to take over our baby girl's real name?!? We really love the names: (Dawn is my middle name)

Madelyn Dawn
or
Madyson Dawn

and Marcus is set on Madelyn and calling her Mady! I love both names and always have, but I just don't want her to go to school and tell her teachers "my name is Mady" when IT ISN'T!!! I guess I have a funny thing about this since I was a teacher...or maybe it is JUST ME :)

Am I CRAZY???

SOOO Behind

WOW! So much as gone on...I am so behind on blogging. Weeks seem to FLY! Here are a few highlights that have gone on at the Schultz household the past few weeks!!

*"Mommy, Mommy" I heard Mason cry while I was fixing his lunch. Hummmm what could he be up to now. He was in the pantry and I just thought he had found something else he wanted for lunch, but to my surprise here is what I found:

**Yes, I did sit him down and tell him he could get hurt and climbing on top of the pantry shelf was a NO NO!!! He has been a climber since day one...I think he was just 10 months the first time he climbed out of his crib...STINKER :)

*Halfway there :) This pregnancy has flown by...I blink and another month has come and gone. I have been feeling back to normal for a while which is WONDERFUL! Here are a few recent belly pics...I seem to keep growing and growing :) I have gained 6lbs so far, but I still have a ways to go..YIKES :) This past labor day weekend we went to get baby girl's crib, bedding and rocker ordered!!! Yeah so much fun :) We have a name picked out but are only 95% sure this is what we will call her, so when it is final I will let ya know. Her initials would be MDS!

**Belly pics in no particular order!

*18 weeks!!

*Thanks Laura for letting me borrow the dress ;)

*20 Weeks!!

*I believe I was about 16 weeks here ;)

*28! Another year older. This birthday passed right by. It was a fun and I started celebrating a few days before I turned the big 28. (August 20th) Marcus took me to dinner at Perry's Steakhouse, my parents came in and took me to Cheesecake Factory. I had a great birthday. Later I will show pics of my birthday presents...however I don't think it will be done for a month or so!

*2! YES, Mason is turning 2 in just 11 days!!! What am I to do?!?!? My baby boy has grown into a lil guy. We took his 2 yr pictures along with some family ones...they turned out wonderful...Thanks Ashley!!! We got Mason a train table with all the pieces, a tricycle, puzzles, a piggy bank, some books, and clothes and shoes :) I can't wait till he sees the train table put together...he will LOVE it!!! He loves reading his Thomas the Train book at night and before nap :) His birthday party is coming up and I can't wait....we will all have so much fun.

A cute pic of Mason's playgroup friends who he will be having his 2nd birthday with :)

After a long game of b-ball with Daddy!

My two men :)

**We had Mason's 2yr old pictures taken along with family pics and they turned out soo cute :) Thanks www.ashleyallenphoto.blogspot.com

Where's the Camera When You Need It

Mason has been asleep for a little while now. We were settling in bed (yes we are OLD) watching the Olympics when we heard the sweetest voice speak through the video monitor. "Baby Sister, Baby Sister, Mommy" were the words he spoke....I believe he was sleep talking...I guess dreaming about lil sister we have been talking about all week!! I LOVE THAT BOY :)

"It's a.....

BOY!" Marcus and I shouted AT THE SAME TIME while we were watching the ultrasound lady scan our lil one. After having a boy and being the ultrasound GENIUS that I was I just knew we had seen lil boy parts! BOY...were we wrong ;) Who knows what we THOUGHT we saw, but it for sure was no BOY parts!! So, as the doc put it......We have Indoor Plumbing!!!! It's A GIRL...a very RELAXED but the most important HEALTHY lil girl :) The next words out of Marcus' mouth....now we have to buy all NEW stuff!! YAY, shopping spree for me ;) As for momma's intuition...from the very beginning I had said "It's a Girl...it just has to be ;)! So I guess I was right on target!

Baby Girl Schultz- 17 Weeks

below: Mason-17 weeks

**We tapped the ultrasound on DVD so I am going to try to upload the DVD later. After the ultrasound appt. I had an appt. with my regular doctor. I was a little nervous stepping on the scale!!!! With the way I had been indulging I just knew I was going to tip the scale. To my surprise I had only gained 2 lbs. Our lil girl looked very healthy, and relaxed. Now.....the name and nursery...OH AND ALL NEW GIRLIE THINGS :)

On Pins and Needles

4 days left!!!! I don't think I can wait that much longer to find out INNIE or OUTIE as one of my friends would say. I have my guess if Mason will have a lil BROTHER or SISTER, but what all that matters is a healthy lil one in there ;) I have been surfing the net and searching different places and have a few ideas for the nursery! I have names that I like, but we will nail a name down once we know boy or girl. As for now it is a waiting game and soon Monday will come and we will know, but the suspense is killing me! The one good thing about this pregnancy is IT HAS FLOWN...thanks to one lil guy who keeps me really busy! Me and my two lil ones :)

Mind Your Own Business

People just don't know when to keep their mouths shut! While I was visiting my parents we went to the mall and were at The Children's Place store. We were checking out and Mason was tugging on some shoes! By the way, my son LOVES shoes...he loves to put them on, take them off, choose the shoes he will wear for the day, and change shoes all day long. He loves to wear our shoes too :) It is cute! (except when we are headed out the door and he doesn't want to wear the shoes that I have picked out for him ) Anyways, Mason was tugging on some baby girl shoes by the check out counter. I was saying "no bubba, we are about to go get you some shoes those are girl shoes" When the lady at the check out register next to me had to chime in!!!! Her comment exactly, "You might as well go ahead and enroll him into gymnastics and start piano lessons" YES there are boys who do both of these things but she proceeded to finish her comment with a lil hand gesture....a LIMP HAND GESTURE!!! My sister chimed in HE IS ALL BOY!!!! I about shouted out...well I will leave it to your imagination.....

Kick Kick Kick

Well that is what Mason says when he is swimming in the pool :) But these last few weeks I have felt the lil one "kick kick kick" as Mason would say. Of course it has not been a strong kick or sensation, just a lil swish or flutter! I usually feel it while I am laying flat on my back and just resting. I debated whether this was really it, but as the weeks went by and I kept feeling the same sensation/flutter I knew it had to be the lil guy/gal swimming around. I also have a heart monitor and when I listen to the heart beat I can hear him/her moving all around and sometime when they are moving around and I am listening to the heartbeat I can feel the same flutters. What a fun feeling! I can't wait till Mason feels his sister/brother....but I can't wait to find out boy or girl :)

13-14 week check up

Today's appt. was very uneventful. They listened for the heartbeat and did an exam and well that is about it. We decided not to get the ultrascreen done...we did not have it done with Mason and decided against it again this go round too. So......the big day August 11th!!!!! We find out if Mason will have a lil bro or sweet lil sister in January. I made the appt. for EARLY in the morning so I did not have to be antsy all day long. We would love a little brother for Mason to be close with like Marcus' brother, Monte, and him are, or a sister that he can look after.....just a healthy lil one is all we pray for :) So get your votes in before August 11th!

The Woodlands

This past weekend we went to The Woodlands with my family for a lil vacation getaway. We stayed at The Woodlands Resort, I LOVED IT! It was beautiful and very kid friendly. While we were there we ate, swam, feed the ducks and turtles, ate some more, swam, made smores, and CRASHED! We ventured out to Market Street where we had dinner at Tommy Bahama's Restaurant and Mason and Kylie played in the splash pad. It was such a fun relaxing weekend by the pool!

Here are some of the fun things we did :)

On the road again...I love this pic because you can see his TEETH he is FINALLY getting in!!!

Cousins...Mason LOVES Kylie

See Nanny and Papa

Part of the amazing pool...with 2 huge slides and a smaller one for Mason

Just a funny pic of my lil guy :)

Part of the golf grounds

Ready for the POOL....we were at the pool at 9:00am and did not leave until 4:00!!!

Playing on the splash pad with Paul...FUN FUN FUN

Having fun in the pool...YES I wore a bikini!?!? YIKES :)

Mason played LOTS of basketball

We threw rocks in the bushes

Kylie and Mason fed the turtles and ducks

We made smores..YUMMY!! I think Mason held on and LICKED the marshmallow for HOURS!

Something funny Mason does when he gets into an elevator: He backs up to the back wall, crosses his feet and taps his top foot....NEVER FAILS every time he gets into the elevator. Again, still holding onto his marshmallow

We got dressed up and went to dinner at Tommy Bahama's Restaurant in Market Place

My sister, Jenny, and Kylie at dinner

YUMMY ketchup...Mason dips everything in ketchup he LOVES it ;)

After dinner in their nice clothes...Mason and Kylie went to this splash pad outside of Tommy Bahama's and had a blast getting soaking wet!

Another shot at a family picture Mason was sooo tired :(

Night night time...he was one pooped boy at the end of each day ;)

Mason just did not want to cooperate with the family picture..he wanted to stand and jump off the rocks
